• top-performing graduates and

to offer a true introduction to a thriving and lasting career in development finance.
This is a challenging opportunity to work in an international environment that will expose trainees to different facets of the consulting business through on-the-job learning that includes working on real consulting assignments, project management, and unique research opportunities.
Purpose
The BFC trainee programme is designed to expand the project implementation team. The programme provides trainees with first-hand implementation experience in ongoing projects over a six-month period.
Trainees will contribute to projects while working remotely, and are expected to develop their skills in self-directed work, time management, collaboration and working within teams. Additionally, trainees will acquire professional skills in areas including effective communication, research and project management.
Upon completion of the programme trainees are expected to be ready to:
• rapidly realise their career potential work in a progressive and forward-thinking environment
• get valuable insight into a future with BFC
• develop a global mindset.
Traineeship organisation
The trainee programme is organized to provide a productive learning experience and is structured as follows:
• Orientation phase: 2 – 4 weeks
• Implementation phase: 4.5 - 5 months
The orientation will provide trainees with basic information about their role while allowing time to make travel arrangements, meet BFC staff and be integrated into the organisation. The trainee will be appointed to a current BFC project and assigned a mentor. This mentor will be the main point of contact throughout the traineeship and will provide on-the-job coaching and guidance to the trainee.
In the implementation phase, trainees will be rapidly immersed into their project and encouraged to speed along the learning curve as they cover a broad range of project-related implementation topics. The trainee will take responsibility for two or three aspects of the project, and be expected to perform in-depth, independent work.
Two evaluations of the trainee’s performance will be conducted - one after three months and the second after six months. With the second evaluation the programme is considered complete and decision to hire will be made then.

• analytical and hands-on implementation skills
• fluent in French and English, good knowledge of Russian will be an asset
